Digital Video
Below is a digital video which was created to explain the water cycle. It incorporates the use of recorded narration, sound effects, and photo transitions. It shows each step of the water cycle and has a page to give credit to the sound effect and photo sites.
This assignment contributed to my understanding of educational technology in many ways. It showed me how to use Microsoft Movie Maker to display photos and how to add narration. This could be used to teach lessons or to assign to students as research assignments.
This helped prepare me to teach with technology bcause it showed me how to do it so I will be able to incorporate this technology in my classroom, in appropriate ways.
I will use this assignment while teaching as a way to present information such as the water cycle on a day when I may be absent. I will also use this technology as an assignment because I can have students create a similar movie, after they have completed research on an assigned topic.
