Podcast
This assignment was creating an educational podcast, and a lesson plan that involves the students creating their own podcast. The topic of my created project was the water cycle.
This assignment contributed to my understanding of educational technology by introducing me to the idea of what a podcast is and how it can be used in schools. I also learned the process behind creating a podcast and how to create a podcast appropriate to play in an educational setting.
This assignment prepared me for teaching with technology by giving me the knowledge to teach and show this technology in my classroom.
I plan on using this technology in the future by doing what my lesson plan calls for. The lesson basically has students research an assigned topic and then in partners, they create an appropriate podcast to play for the rest of the class. This way the entire class gets a good background on each of the assigned topics and the students get to learn this type of technology.
